Of course this is a question of the builder's personal taste and I am far from telling you what to do. IMHO a Vignette just underlines the chracteristic of a model, that's why I prefer it.🙂

This is my model No. 4 of 2015. An M60A1 RISE/PASSIVE of the USMC with the three tone NATO Camouflage.
The model is the M60A1 RISE/PASSIVE Academy in 1/35 scale, straight out of the box.
The inverted "V" are painted. In general, the model was painted with Humbrol enamels. Weathering was Done with products of AMMO MiG Jimenez and enamels.
