The problem is the resin body you have is designed for the original (1962) tool Amt kit. The kit you have is the newer tool (1997 although the box art was wrong on this version as it shows a sedan and the kit was actually a sport coupe). The Revell kit IS a sedan but is completely different from both Amt toolings.

You're probably right about that tripower! The oldest one I have is from the 80s combo set, it doesn't fit for beans. The sedan chassis fits pretty well. What surprises me is how different they all are!!

Album info

Actually I want to build 2 57 Chevys. My grandmother had a NEW turquoise hardtop back in the late 50s early 60s and I had a 4 dr 210 when I was in high school. Well, I also have the Nomad kit!
Anyway this resin body in looking less and less appealing every time I look at it!
I may just settle for the Revell 2 dr sedan and paint it my colors (pink & white).
The AMT hardtop kit actually looks real nice for a made in Mexico kit.
So at this point it looks like that's what I'll do.
The resin body is a POS. Not to say t couldn't be done, I just don't want to spend the time when I have so many others I want to build.
