Got this kit in my stash, so i will follow this one closely. Especially since your progress looks amazing.

Thanks guys. I have the base coat applied, and that's where it sits. I will try to get it back into my paint booth in the next couple weeks. I've been putting in new lawns and all the other stuff that gets in the way of modeling... you know the deal. 🙂

For those of you who have this kit, I added a few more pics of what to do once you plan the finish/completion of this kit....
There will be the conundrum of how to display with such a beautiful interior while maintaining the integrity of the build making the interior a highlight, not the main attraction.
Many thoughts of red-line cutaway on the sides, no good locations. I could have left a side off, but that presents the issue of no engine. 🙁
So I decided to cut the top of the tank into three sections, forward, drivers cab and aft. The kit is so well laid out, that this was not an issue to cut along the plate line molded into the kit. I will use the tow cables as handles for those rare moments I want to look or show off the interior.
As I said, it is currently base coated in Ochre Earth, will add the brown and green layers next. Thanks for looking, I'll post more pics soon once the camo is complete.

Thought I'd add some progress photos. Just finished the clear coat/decals, next up - the filters/washes.

An amazing kit, one of the best I've had the pleasure of building. Meng is top quality, this kit is at the top of Meng's list. I still have some final painting to complete this kit, but I decided to start the album just prior to finish.
