Whoa awesome! Definitely going to watch this one evolve... It's great fun watching tons of scratchbuilding🙂

I'm starting to miss having access to a lathe😄
The barrel looks really good mate. I like the patches of surface structure as well!

brass tubes inserted on each other, and the "mouth" made wider with the right tool?

Quite nice how you tackled the MG barrel.
For small holes I usually punch a small dent with a small very pointy, hardened needle before drilling. This way even a 0.15mm drill won't slip off. 👍

Yes I normally do too, but since its a very small tube 0.8mm it slips off my fingers and turns sideways then the drill slips off it and I'm afraid to place the tube in a vice because it flattens.

When working with very small parts in a vise, I use PTFE sheet or pieces of Silicone to protect the parts. But I honestly haven't tried if it still flattens such delicate tubes.

First signs? That exhaust looks lovely!
May I ask how you did the bent fenders? 🙂

Yes first signs cause I did not yet make filter nor pinwash, just weathered the exhaust. The fenders just chew them 😄

They actually do look a bit as if chewed on now that you mention it 😛 lol
Wondering how it will turn out after washes and filter. I suspect all the scratchbuilding will not only have taken time, but it will also take a few breaths🙂

I had to start over again, painting the side skirts (Schürzen skirts) because I ruined them on the weathering process

A very well balanced camouflage - one of the most realistic I´ve seen during the last time. Compliments!

Thanks once more, it seems though that I need to push my modelling skills much further becasue on my last competition I got nothing for this model in the standard open category. ( I only got a bronze for the Hellcat)
