You are right guys, both guide horns are glued individually. A track run with 96 links contain 480 parts.
96 links + two bolts/pins = 192 and two guide horns = 192 parts. 960 for both sides. 😄
@James: With desert camo you mean the two tone camo that is used on the Bovington Tiger?
Currently i am not sure how i am going to paint the model. Overall RAL 8000 or RAL 8000/8020 and RAL 7008 for camo. Maybe i will tryout the Mission Models colors and go with the two tone camo. 🙂
@Rene: Hehe i am not sure how i am doing this. Maybe with right music. 😄

Have checked the pictures of Tiger no. 141 and cound not find any evidence that the tank was painted in a two tone camo. Maybe it was but the pictures do not show that, maybe it was not.
I think i will go for the overall RAL 8000/8020.

Wait for it. 😄 Turret is finished and i am currently working on the lower hull. Again i have enough luck to get a bend lower hull. 🤔 Already found a solution for it so not a big problem. 🙂

960 pcs... Only the tracks... Yep you definitely have found the right soundtrack for modeling😉
Contrastwise the available pictures of 141 are a horror. Especially considering the two tones of the twotone camo are not that different in b/w 🤔
Going to add some styrene sheet bulkheads to fix the warping?

Hehe, yeah i needed lots of good music to stay sane with that many parts only for the tracks. 😄
No stryrene sheets are needed. I have test fitted the parts and the warping will disappear after i close the lower hull.

Completed the build today. Its a nice kit with good fit and is really easy to build. Fitting the RB Barrel went without any problems. I have replaced the cables for the headlight as i broke the kit parts. 😄

really good looking Tier Ingo. i do not have a tiger in my stash (yet) but i will eventually have one, so i will keep this pictures as reference😉

Its a very nice kit and easy to build. Dont be scared by the 960 parts for the tracks. You get an jig for them and the pins are molded in groups of four per sprue. Really easy and fast to build.
Unfortunately there are also some let downs in this kit. One of them is the fit of some parts. For example you have to sand down the top plate of the turret for a good fit. The plate is a little bit too big. Same goes for the engine deck.
Another let down was that many of the parts, especially the small ones had big ugly molding seam that is really hard to remove. Looks like the molds were warped. Dont know if it is general with all kits or me having bad luck again. 😄
The turret is made from two parts and the only place were putty was needed.

Overall its a good kit. 👍

Added a few pictures of the current progress. Base color is done, now moving to detail painting like cables and tools. The color is RAL8000 from Mission Models. This is the first time using this brand and i am really satisfied with this paint.

The shading turned out great Ingo. You added a lot of contrast to this would-be monotone paintjob 🙂

Nice progress and shading ! I agree with your statement about the Mission Model colors: been using them for approximately one year now - it is nearly impossible not to get a smooth finish. And apart from some minor errors (see tiger1.info) this is a fantastic kit.

Really liked the build and weathering. Definitely going for another Tiger in the future. 😄
