Start with the hard part first. Sanded/polished the front wing (still got pits my eyes couldn't see ) then affix with Tamiya epoxy putty to putty the gap of the 2 pieces from the inside out. Now to sand that rock hard crap down....

I like formula 1 cars, but only the old ones. It looks like metalfinish??

The front wing is white metal. I polished it up to give it a smoother finish. Ultimately, it will be painted over. The J192 raced in 1992 with front wing made of carbon fibre. So it depends on the definition of "older".
But that polished white metal looks great, don't it? I suggested to one of the Japanese manufacturers that they should think about making after market white metal wings for 70s F1 car kits but nothing ever happened. Maybe they'd be too heavy for the plastic parts they'd be affixed to.

Now to deal with those wonderful microscopic bubbles in the putty that can't be seen until some paint is added or you take a pic in super macro. I can see one...

Hopefully that's that out of the way.

Great. I have a great respect of the shiny finish of a formula one car. But yours are fine so far
