Sorry Thomas , keinen Schreck , es ist machbar und Deine Erfahrung wird es zum Spaß machen , aber für das Geld erwartet man bessere Qualität , alle Nieten und Panels müssen neue gemacht werden , viele Angüsse gehen bis ins eigentliche Modell, die Übersicht zwischen AIMS Teilen und den Ursprung von Revell bleibt sehr subtiel, ich denke , gerade bei der Ju 188 hat sich John McIllmurray so auf den B Stand konzentriert , das manches der Details einfach unter den Tisch gefallen ist.

Sorry Thomas, no fright, it is doable and your experience will be fun, but for the money you expect better quality, all rivets and panels have to be made new, many sprues go into the actual model, the overview between AIMS parts and Revell's origins remain very subtle, I think John McIllmurray concentrated so much on the B stand on the Ju 188 that some of the details simply fell under the table

Awesome conversion. I fancyied many times buying it, your build makes me want it more. You mastered it.

Thank you Mathieu, but please don't expect too much from the AIMS kit, it's just a rough template with many hurdles, I would have liked to have done the Ju 388, but after the experience with the Ju 188, I recognize my limits and will again turn to simple plastic 😉

That was the AIMS adventure, and now I treat myself to a coffee, then clean up the AIMS leftovers and think about what should be finished next 😉

Thanks James, the paint is covered with photos, but the Ju is no longer ready for use and the photos are probably from around April 1945

think I might try to get a hold of the 1/48388 conversion.Probably cost an arm and a leg LOL.

thank you David, you need arm and leg for the appointments with the hairdresser, who then takes care of the gray hair that the kit will bring 😉 🙂

Thanks Thomas, Rui S and Alec K, it was really my hardest project so far, and it took the most time, I was often about to give up, some days I didn't want to see it, but who has the Ju 188 in scale anyway 1:32, and I honestly say, after a few days I'll think of AIMS again, without the Vacu pulpit 🙂 Mistletoe 2 and 3 are giants too

Hi Jens.Just had a look on Hannants website Revells new 188 has the same camo as yours,they say copying is the best form of flattery well done
