Nice build I have the same kit and I am finding the tolerances challenging. The track links do not fit correctly on the drive sprocket causing some missalignment, did you have a similar problem?

Yes, the tolerances were out enough to be rather irritating. The track links were certainly a point of issue, especially after painting them before assembly. I ended up sanding down the teeth on the drive sprocket a bit to help the links fit, and then touching up the paintwork afterwards. The tracks don't look amazing on my build, unfortunately, but it's partially hidden from view under the hull. Oh well, at least I know what to look out for when making the Mk.10!

Thanks Henry I was thinking of grinding down the teeth as well on the next build. I was going for the Mk10 in the Berlin Brigade camo with this build but I might do the 11 knowing how to fix some of the issues on this build.

Looks great. Keep procrastinating about trying the Takom 1/72 kits. Especially as they produce UK Cold War AFVs.

Chieftain Mk.11 of 1 RTR serving in Germany. OOB build of the Mk.11 from Takom's 1/72 1+1 Chieftian Mk.10 & Mk.11. An overall smooth build of a kit with some lovely moulding, though the tracks were a little fiddly to assemble, even with the included jig.
