Rob Henderson@Torsten, thank you! Dry brushing and stippling with enamels while still fresh can be quite effective 🙂
@JD, again thank you very much for the kind words about my work! I build predominantly straight out-the-box, with the absolute minimum of scratch building and scrap-box extras added. I've only used aftermarket parts once, and that was on an Airfix 1:48th Sea Harrier FRS1 to convert it to FA2 standard...though I will replace original decal sheets from kits if they are shot to pieces.

This is the 1996 re-box of the original tooling released by MPC in 1983. Base colour Halfords white primer (spray can). Display stand Halfords satin black (spray can). All other colours and weathering brush painted with Humbrol enamels. Model originally started in mid 1990's but not completed before the hobby was put to one side. Finished (finally!) in 2020.
