Mustang Mk. IV progress
Cockpit is finished. I opted to only use the Eduard photo etch seatbelts and a few placards for this build.
Instrument panel is OOTB and hand painted.
I used a bit of plastic card to support the wing root so it is kept in place.
Very nice detail in the wheel well of this model.
All the small bits and pieces finished.
Pre-shading done.
First camo color applied.
Camo finished.
Gloss coat and decals applied.
As can be seen, the two pieces of the shark mouth decal would not line up correctly, so I will have to do some dentistry to fix it. 😉
It is finished! 🙂
Here it is facing off with its older brother, the Mk III Mustang from Tamiya also in 112 Sqn colors.

Thank you very much James, you are always welcome 🙂.
Another update. I had to add some support for the wing root, so I created a lip using a bit of plastic card to keep it in place.
I've also finished all of the small bits and pieces.

Another update. I have done most of the painting and applied the decals. Although, as always with shark mouths, I'm going to have to do some corrective work to fix the shark's teeth.😉

The 112 squadron sharkmouth Mustang IV is finished. A really nicely detailed model from Italeri.

Album info
I'm building the Mustang Mk. IVa from Italeri in 1:48 scale.
It will be in the markings of the 112 squadron with the shark mouth. 🙂
