Started by getting the turret together with the Def model barrel and cutting out the plastic grill on the engine deck. 

Test fitting one of the figures for the Diorama.  

Good bit of progress so far. 

These were fun  

Started adding card underneath to close in the fenders. Pretty typical for an older Tamiya kit. 

Most of the photo etch is finished on the engine deck and the two air filters. Lots of work still left to do on the front. 

Just a few more PE details to go and sanding down all the gap filling. All my .30 cal barrels arrived today as well. 

Two .30's mounted. Mantlet just temporarily in place. Going to cover the two extra .30 ports. 

Scratch built the AA mount and used the mounting plates from the DEF model kit. Also swapped out the MIG .30 cals resin barrel for a metal one. Added some gap filling and weld beads to the turret. 

Pretty happy with how it's going so far. Was worried the .30 would get in the commanders way but so far he seems to fit well.
