As an Easy Kit, it is missing a great deal of detail that most modelers will have a problem with. The cockpit is all flat panels with decals for the side consols and instrument panels (which are quite different than the real thing). The ejection seat it a bit oversized, but not too bad. I had an extra True Details resin seat, so I used that. Hobby Boss uses much of the same parts for their two-seaters, but there is no cover over the rear cockpit, just a great big hole. So I scratch built one.

The early Hawaii Air National Guard F-15As were some of the oldest in the Air Force. The were delivered in the original "Compass Grey" scheme of light and dark ghost grey. I have come to terms with Vallejo Air paints. Yes, they can be tempermental, but I have found using Tamiya acrylic as a primer, thin it a little with its own brand of thinner, and also add a drop or two of Vallejo airbrush flow Improver.

I used Mig masking putty. Not quite used to it yet and wasn't 100 percent happy with how it came out, but since this is an "office model," I figured good enough.

Coat of Future gloss... (Working on a Spifire at the same time...)

So as I mentioned, this is a simple kit lacking in details, however Hobby Boss did NOT skimp on the stencils!

Nearly done. Only some weathering...

Here is my 1/72 Hobby Boss F-15A. This is one of their "Easy Kit" offerings. I built it for my office so I didn't need much in the way of detail. I used some very old Hawaii Air National Guard decals from RepliScale.
