Album info
Had some time covering the entire Cromwell in Satin Varnish (Game Master). I'm always a bit undecided wether to go full matte or satin, but to my eye, a satin model looks less dull and more realistic. The weathering in the upcoming stages will also create more contrast between matte, dusty spots and the satin ones.
I also started painting some details and the first stage of light chips with a brush and the sponge technique. Guess I'll need to practice some more, and you can also clearly see that I started at the lower hull, since most of the chips will be covered later on anyway.
For the moment, I'm really happy with the results, but there is a long way to go until I reach the level I watched on YouTube 😉
