One of the most photographed aircraft in the postwar Royal Air Force. WR960 is a Shackleton AEW Mk2 of No. 8 Squadron, operating out of Lossiemouth on long endurance missions, keeping a watchful eye out for the “Bear”, “Badger” and “Backfire” bombers of the Soviet Union.
I tried to capture the busy air of preparation for one of these missions.
