Another perfectly clean build from Bughunter 👍
And this must be one of the most colourful military liveries for a Storch 🙂

Magnificent!! The outdoor pictures always make it seem just like the real thing. I love the contrast between the large glazing and the frames and the optional opening cowling. Beautiful photos and beautiful work!

Thank you mates!
That bird is soo big that I had to cut the pictures as my "airfield base" was too small. As background some mountains of the Alps would be more realistic 😉
Now I celebrate the end of the project with a dark beer "Nightflight" from the brewery "Propeller Beer", which I got as a gift from my wife 👍

All right, then. The photos of the real plane are very nice. And when will we see photos of the model? 😄 😄 😄
Amazing work! In photos with nature in the background, it doesn't take much work to imagine that we are looking at a real machine and not a model of it. 👍
Cheers! You earned that beer.

@Ludvík and Alec We spend so much time into the models to get a good result so it makes sense to spend also a little time for good photos. Not many of us will see this model in real at exhibitions so the photos must present the model.

It really is becoming virtually impossible to tell your models apart from the real thing! Another work of art has rolled off your production line, very different to your usual subjects but just as stunning! 😀

Thanks!
Ben I swear these are not reference photos that have remained undiscovered to this day!
It would be so easy to create Fake News that many people would believe ...

Again, the outdoor pics bring this model to life even more. A worthy endpoint to another interesting build.

Thank you Michael and Villiers!
For the next model I will probably have to look for a new location, because in the background the maize will be too big. 🙁

Your remark about maize gives me the impression that you are planning Polikarpov Po-2 as your next construction. This aircraft is said to have been able to land and take off from a maizefield 🙂.

Ludvík, it is unlikely that I will build a Po-2. No, I correct, very unlikely. 🙂

Today I realized that I may be should explain the background, as Scalemates is a world wide platform.
The German word "Storch" means the bird family, but mostly den "Weißstorch" (in english White Stork) which lives in Europe/Africa:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_stork
As the bird build big nests in villages here, it is important in our culture, so the aircraft Fi 156 get the name Storch. And with the red nose (later partly overpainted with white) and legs the HB-ARU should imitate that bird.

Thank you Hanno and Guy!
Hanno, that was only a Tamiya "Schüttelbausatz"! I was just a little afraid of messing up the clear parts because I don't know such a thing from my other models.

Mission accomplished! We always try to make the model look like a real aircraft so it is great to hear about success. Thank you very much Harry!

As usual a lifelike build. How did the single wing adventure sit with you? Open for more?

Thank you Martin! Yes, building a Tamiya kit is a little bit exciting! Yes I know, building a Tamiya kit has fallen into a bit of disrepute among modellers:
All sorts | Album by Jan Peters
But since Tamiya do not provide WWI kits I have to do another type, not that far in future ...

😂
If you want a Tamiya with double wings, they do offer a Swordfish

No, that one will be _much_ faster! 👀 I have the kit already (but not added it to my stash here 😛) Some accessories and paints needs to be ordered before I can start.

The final pictures of the finished Storch.
That was a great project with working on a fantastic kit and I'm happy with the outcome even if that is not the perfect model.
In particular, I would like to thank the mates from Switzerland who actively supported me with my questions on the subject of the color scheme 👍
