The Shape of this plane is funny ... it looks fat with short wings on the other hand its a kind of elegant!
You talk about the yellow lightning on the side i guess. I go for an usual grey / mitsubishi green camo ....

Sorry Albi! Ididn't exactly mean the camo, But the chipped green paint and that red circular signs, it's an special camo for japanese bird of wwii! 😉

Thats why i like the japanese WWII planes as well ... the big red dots on this nice dark green ... its a special "eye catcher" and you're right there is a lot of weathering options in the japanese aircraft ... 🙂

Did you use decals for the red signs or they are painted by masking?

In this case i used the decals from the kit with decal softener.
For the bigger scales i would use the masks. With the masks you can "play" easier with fading and chipping ...
