French air force Mirage F1C n°84 sept 1979

This is the 1/72 Mirage F.1C from Special Hobby. I decide to represent the number 84 (3/12 of Cornwall squadron) during a visit to Tours in September 1979.

The pilot is on board, the reactor is running, additional traps air inlets are open and the plane is the point of maneuver before takeoff.

He kept the traces of an exchange with the Belgian 42 th squadron just before the code 12-ZF…

The kit is the Special Hobby. I really enjoyed building this box.

The underside is painted with Tamiya TS-30 Silver Leaf spray can colour mixed with a little Humbrol No. 130 White. The resulting mixture was applied by airbrush.

The upper surface is a mixture of Aeromaster – 8 drops of 9046 (US inter blue ANA 608) for each one drop of 9004 (blue).

The fighter pilot is from PJ Production, the wheels of from CMK, the Pitot from Master and decals from Berna.
