Hello Christian. Yes a led but i painted the half side red.The led was white So i had 2 colors with 1 led. I also covered the top area of the led with black tape not allowing the light go straight up the top.. You building a spaceship?

Not yet but I got some fine molds kits in my stash (and built some yet) as well assome knight model figures . I am thinking ablut building a shodow box with two figures which intend to illuminate. Just thinking about ghe righg method. LED's or fibre optics.

It depends how you want this illumination. Fiber optic properties are differnt.They need a trick to diffuse light. With led is more easy. Fiber optic will give you a dotted like light by default.
