I have to buy a set of Indonesian air force decals, but these are going to come...I found a set of Reid Air Publications - F16 Falcon 'Export Vipers'.

I'll check my sheet, if there is a possibility for spares. Just a note, the aircraft in the project photo is an F-16A Block 15 OCU.

Still Maciej, I think the version on the photo is a Block 25 as they were delivered from the USAF in the beginning of 2014 to Indonesia. However, I want to build the version without the drag parachute installed in the extended base of the vertical stabilizer ... this version was also between the 24 ex-USAF F-16. Though you may be right but I found this information during my research...😉

@Maciej...you are right, the TS-1609 is delivered between '89 and '90 and that is a Block 15 version ... Mea Culpa! Still, I want to build an F-16C Block 25...the Indonesian Viper on the picture is an impression of the Millennium color scheme which I find very cool to build ...!
@Hans...thx mate 👍

As per the link that Hans provided, Indonesia operates two types of the Viper. The A/B Block 15 OCU, distinguished by the triangular cross section of the tail base as in the project photo, and the C/D Block 25 with upgraded electronics, distinguished by the larger tail base.
If you use the Hasegawa kit which is an N, you shouldn't use the F110GE100 exhaust nozzle. The Indonesian Block 25 machines use the F100 by Pratt and Whitney. As the Block 15 OCU.

Following! My Fiancee is Indonesian, and am going there actually in two weeks (Bali). So a bit of a connection with this one for me 🙂

Hey, that's nice to hear Michael .... what a coincidence. My daughter has just returned from two months internship in Indonesia, hence my inspiration to build an Indonesian Viper. Also the colonial history that I have as a Dutchman with this region ... 😉
@Maciej...In this kit from Hasegawa is also an option on the exhaust nozzle of an F100 by Pratt and Whitney engine to ... so that is going to be all right!

I decided to add another kit from my stash to this project, personally I find the Vipers from Tamiya more detailed instead of Hasegawa.

If you're doing a Block 25, that Tamiya kit is all you need. It builds as a Block 25 straight out of the box. And yes, has for more and finer details than the Hasegawa one. There's definitely a place for the Hasegawa one but as you have the Tamiya one, just go for the Tamiya one. 🙂

The Tamiya is just what you need Jos. And as you have built one already, it will go easily!

With the AGM-65's how did you get the join between the main part and back part of the missile parallel and perfectly lined up?

Very nice work again Jos, how does the Aires exhaust fits the kit, watching the picture it looks fine, is it really 'plug and play'? (I've had some bad experience with the aires exhaust for the hasegawa kit due to resin shrinkage.)

The WIP album has been disappeared for some reasons...I'll upload soon some progress pics and the reveal pics. This Viper is also published in the International Scale Aircraft Model issue May '21.
