James Bond 'For Your Eyes Only' Citroën 2CV

My attempt at the (in)famous James Bond vehicle from 'For Your Eyes Only', modelled before it got rolled through a Spanish olive grove and completely trashed. This is the Revell kit (07095) using the Blue Stuff conversion set (24-001) - although why Blue Stuff didn't number it -007 is beyond me.

This is my second road vehicle and I've certainly improved a lot since last time. Sadly something happened with most of the windows and they've fogged badly. I didn't get any glue near them so I imagine I made a mistake whilst double gloss varnishing them.

The kit fits well for the most part, a more experienced auto modeller would no doubt find this a breeze.

I chose to weather it a tad with dry-brushing to simulate sun damage and wear and tear, alongside some enamel washes. I damaged some of the shell with glue, but have attempted to pass this off as weathering.

Whilst this model can be displayed with a full engine, I simply couldn't be bothered so sprayed it all dark grey/black and glued the bonnet shut. I also put in minimum effort on the underside.

Spray primed and spray and brush painted with a mixture of Humbrol and Revell acrylics.

I'm relieved to have finished it before Christmas, and am delighted that I've been able to pay homage to one of my favourite Bond films.
