Project started 08.25.22
All parts have been sanded and primed with the exception of the chrome parts which are soaking in chlorine to remove the paint. Weird thing is that the original truck does not have a single part chromed.
Planned purchases for this project are Tamiya surface primer white, Gravity Colors Oxford White, Tamiya Gloss Black, and Tamiya ultra-fine brush.
Also, I will have to run some tests on the color of the wheels to know which color most closely resembles the actual truck. I'll try aluminum, steel, silver, and metallic silver.

All flat black parts have been painted. All aluminum parts have been painted, and all silver parts have been painted. I am going to run tests on the color of some of the engine parts because the instructions say they should be chromed but they should not, will try painting spoons with aluminum, steel, and gunmetal, see which color resembles the real life parts the closes. If I cannot match the color I will try color combinations.
Need to clean the chrome parts, they have been soaking in bleach for five days now, next step will be to prime them.

All steel parts have been painted. All semi gloss black parts have been painted. I have decided to paint the chrome engine parts aluminum. Will have to buy bleach, I think the bleach the parts have been soaked has been used too much and now it is not removing the chrome paint from the parts.
Next step is to paint the interior with the two tone paint scheme. Photos show a grey interior in two different tones.

Parts for the interior of the car have been painted with the first color, I need to mask off the areas that will receive the second color tone.

Engine is in progress, the de-chroming is done and all parts have been primed. Will start painting them in their correct color. Again, as in the Impala project, I am postponing any airbrushing until the dust settles after the house renovation, it might take two weeks depending on how much dust there is.
