SmokeThey were under different topics, as a result they could not be linked. For every kit on Scalemates the correct topic must be selected, which is the subject depicted (In this case ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos Lupus). With Gundam and some other subjects a lot of the kits are miscategorized on their generic topic ("Gundam") or line rather than the actual subject. There's a nice big warning when entering a new kit to not do this but that doesn't seem to work all that well in practice.
This also applies to the other data suggestions you made, they will have to be cleaned up and categorized correctly manually. Maybe a system could be implemented where certain topics are "forbidden" from use and give a nice explanatory popup to prevent this?

Media Property (Gundam) -> Specific Line (HGIBO) -> Topic (Gundam Barbatos) -> Subject (Gundam Barbatos Lupus)
contains important information that's lost in the current hierarchy of data.
