Mr DThanks, Appreciate the interest, lm reality new to the hobby about 14 months, finding my way with techniques.
Weathering n panel lines need more learning.
The IAR-80 was decent price from HB and liked the paint scheme...bit different

Nice to have the interest, HB instructions bit weak!
They said to paint interior charcoal black like on the FW-190.
But l checked n the Romanian lAR interior was grey/blue.
Engine building next 6 parts deal.

Thomas KolbDear friends, thank you for your interest. I am a bit curious myself how this model will turn out - I have read some pretty nasty things about it in reviews, but I am not sure it's so bad. It certainly looks very intricately designed, not your usual shake 'n' bake kit for sure.

Falk RölligWelcome mates. In 1:72 scale 3D decals are a way better than pe and my hands are to shaky to paint. I use them for most of the models with open canopies. For inflight models and with pilots i think it's not necessary. With Kelik and Eduard 3D i'm not always happy, but Quinta for me it's the first choice.

FreakAwesome weathering! How did you do that? Pre-shading, post-shading? And how many washes? I guess that looks like at least a grey and a rust wash

MagentaThank you Mr. Freak. And sorry for replying more than a year late. All weathering was done by post shading. The paints I used were Tamiya panel line accent color dark gray and GSI Creos Mr.weathering color ground brown.
