The house definitely needs a trap door on the roof. A little extra activity over there would make it more lively too.

yeah, I thought the same about the trapdoor so I actually added it. do you think I should actually put a wooden trapdoor, or would it look too fantasy-like? I also want to add some kind of tent on the roof, held up by wooden poles.

An alternative to a trap door could be a staircase up one side, or even just a shabby wooden ladder type structure to get you to the roof. Either would make more of a feature to the right hand side perhaps where a figure could be sat on a step maybe.

Can you do me a favour please? Can you check what decals come with this kit by checking the instruction booklet? I am planning a tribute diorama at some stage (once my skills are good enough. HOPEFULLY!!) to honour my grandfather Daniel Murphy of 10th Royal Hussars, 2nd arm brigade, 1st arm div. He was a co-driver from 1941 (when he was training) then in theatre late '41 onwards. So he would've been in Crusaders (I remember him telling me he was in those) and he was in shermans too but not sure if that was in NA or later when they were in Italy.
Anyway, that was a long winded appeal to you to see if the decals include any for 10th royal hussars, 2nd arm bgde, 1st arm div? I have his medals and also his cap badges that I plan on adding to it. Can I add a pic of them here? One has a WW1 era Male Tank on it that has words 'fear naught' across . Anyway thanks for your time and congrats on a fantastic diorama. Hope I get half as skilled as you!!
