Kesa TihoScale models can be converted? So like a F111 model could be fitted with a nuke even though the original model didnt have one?

gorbyDefinitely Kesa, there is a whole range of aftermarket conversions you can buy or if you are feeling adventurous, some conversions are reasonably easy to scratch build yourself. I have a couple of drawers full of plastic sheet of various thickness and plastic and metal rods, tubes, strips etc. I once saw a fantastic large scale scratch build of a B17 build that used the plastic from yogurt pots as the skin.

Thanks Spanjaard. That B17 is one of the best scratch-builds I've ever seen - well beyond my ability. I think he sold it to a museum in the US.

You could be right David. In the photo the load isn't attached to the crane hook but a hoop on the jib, as you say, probably using a hand winch. I have three photos of the back of various versions of this vehicle and none of them shows anything which might be used to control the crane, so obviously I can't add what I don't see. Fernando ArriagadaDespués de 10 meses declarado terminado este proyecto. Fue desafiante, ya que entré en un área sin mayor experiencia, en la que tuve que modificar muchas piezas, y detallar el interior con scratch. No quedé conforme, pienso que pudo haber sido mejor. Especialmente quedé insatisfecho con las palas del rotor principal. No pude darle la altura para que no se apoyaran en la cola, las desarme y volví a armar tres veces. El problema fue que la base al interior del fuselaje en donde va montado el rotor cedió en donde ejercí mucha presión, al hundirse esa pieza fue imposible darle más altura al rotor y por ende más altura a las palas. Bueno sirve de aprendizaje para futuros proyectos.

Hay que tener mucha paciencia y superar los desafíos que te plantea la maqueta. Si usas el rotor Reskit vas a tener que trabajar con los conectores para que las palas queden en la posición de descanso. Cuentame como va tu proyecto y me avisas para ver los progresos. Un abrazo

Andrew dyson@Swapnil, fit of the parts was good. I have a small concern over the right side door/air intake but that could be down to user error. I will know more on the next build.
Part count was low with the engine bay being almost a single moulding so it is more a painting exercise rather than a building challenge. Moulding was good though
