Trying something completely new for me this time around. I found this resin model of Grogu on the internet, and since my girlfriend loved The Mandalorian, and of course, Grogu, I decided I wanted to surprise her with this figure painted by my self.

It's my first time painting a figure so let's see how it goes

@Miguel - the water is mainly epoxy resin tinted with light transparent blue, let that set and then built up the waves using AK water effects which isn't fully clear when it cures, then finished off using AK water foam effects for the white foam. Along the way I used an airbrush to create the natural shapes of the waves & foam and a damp piece of foam for the bubbles.

I do have another. They're both still factory sealed, but the box on one, is tired. I was going to build another tribute truck, but this is exactly that, so it's going to happen. Just need to get some more black paint, so a trip to Hobbycraft is on the cards. Been busy recently with decorating. Went stateside last weekend and brought the other half home. Philly and back, in 48hrs! Now I have a permanent build buddy 🙂

Hey Villiers/Christoph - hope you enjoy the build and thanks for watching the progress. Thinking about a custom paint job on the second spitfire with reference to the album power slave of which Aces High is from. Have some home print decal sheets that I have been meaning to use for years so might try testing them out. Revell have been kind enough to send a second Eddie Sprue so will have him seated in both planes when completed.

Hi! I use about 40% tamiya X-20A thinner to 60% tamiya paint for airbrushing at about 20 psi with a 0.4mm nozzle. If I'm having tip drying problems I will also add one or two drops of tamiya retarder.
