Alternate History Dioramas

Album image #1
“The Battle of Spokane” 1/72 scale armor. A diorama I whipped up based on a thought-experiment conducted by me and a friend, Where the Yellowstone Volcano erupts sometime in the 1980's, splitting North America between east and west. This was fun, I might do more of these in the future. A Cascadian K2 Black Panther rumbles a knocked-out M1 Abrams on a lonely logging road north of Mount Spokane. Trumpeter M1A1 kit, K2 was 3D printed.

Album image #2
One veteran from the US 1st Armored Division would recall: “We were told resistance would be minimal, and the Cascadians would welcome us as heroes and liberators. The old ‘The war will be over by Christmas’ bull****…”

Album image #3
The 1st Armored charged towards the border from the ruins of Coeur d’ Alene and were met with “...a wall of artillery. Literally. Before we knew it, half of our shiny new M1A2’s had a new hole punched in them. As it turns out, the Cascadians were not happy to see us.”

Album image #4
The Cascadians responded in kind with the 2nd and 3rd Armored Brigades performing a pincer attack around Mount Spokane and Mica Peak. To this day, the Battle of Spokane is considered the only large-scale tank battle to take place in the Western Hemisphere.
