Hello Nick, i will explain what i did:
1 - primed with Zero Paints ZP-3033
2 - painted bright red with Zero Paints ZP-1003
3 - as all zero paints look matt until after they are coated with varnish i used tamiya black panel liner to enhance surfaces and after it dried i applied a small coat of TS-13 clear varnish ti secure the paint job
4 - still not on this step but will finish with Zero Paints 2k urethane diamond finish
I hope i answered your question but if any doubt or curiosity remains always feel free to ask as i am more than happy to share experiences and knowledge

Also if you use the spray PS-2 red from tamiya with ts-13 the result will be very similar, i used zero paints because i have a good stock

Awesome, thank you for all the details. I knew it looked too good to come from a rattle can. The clear coat is sure to give it a showroom clean finish.

I will need some advice now, is it better to keep the bonnet unpainted with the visible engine or to paint it like usual?
