Airfix Buccaneer
Assembling as much as I can before painting. Fit is rather good after some minor clean-up work.
Wished Airfix brook this up in separate pieces. It would have avoided some sink marks, and for such a big part, aded some finer detail.
As stated before, the fit is rather good. But clean-up of the parts before assembly is necessary.
First put on a coat of Mr Surfacer followed by MRP desert pink. But I found the surface a bit rough, so I sanded it down a bit with this result. I thought it would be a good base for the follow on layers of paint.
Pre shaded with desert pink darkened with black.
Some highlighting with off white.
Coming together after slowly building up desert pink again.
Trying to recreate some weathering as seen on photo's.
Result is a bit strong so I oversprayed it with the base color to town it down.
Up to this point it is al airbrush.
Only place I did some extra detailing.
Weathering has started with a basic wash.
Right side is done, left side is next.
Basic wash done.
Working on the armament.
Ready for some decals.
Weathering has started.
