Michael, these items lay behind our old lighthouse and just rott. The Bomb must be a british one, 250kg. The propblade is maybe from a Lancaster. No one is interested in them and so isked if i could have them. But hell, i dont know how to manage to bring the bomb to my home cuz its very heavy!

@ Aghis, a trolley wont be enough, i´ll bet. I asked a friend with an electric-car. He will help me!
@ Marek, no not Peenemünde. I live in Wangerooge, the last photo shows my island on April, 25th 1945

I see! The prop looks german to me, but a close-up should reveal its profile and maybe some ID info.

At this time i only sat 2 kilometers away and my coffeepot fell from my desk! That was the biggest BANG i ever heard!!!
And yes, 1000 meters safetyrange. But that prooved, 1000 meters are not enough with british bombs!

I'm so sorry to hear about your coffeepot, my deepest condoleances. But, serious Holly, why do YOU need a coffeepot ? 😉

Good Evening, Holger I found the last photo very interesting as one of my relatives was with the 408th Goose Squadron. If the photo was taken in April 25th, 1945 he was not there. ( K.I.A. March 22, 1944 ) Catch Ya, Logan

Good Afternoon, Holger Thanks for the kind comment regarding my relative that was with the RAF 408th. Almost all of Canadian loses were military personal where as the people of Europe suffered so much. With that being said, here is what I know regarding March 22, 1944, 73 years ago tomorrow. Aircraft was Lancaster #LL 717 EQ-W from RAF Linton-on-Ouse with the target of Frankfurt, Germany. Crashed in Hausen, Germany (3km SW of Usinger) after being shot down by Hauptman Martin "Tino" Becker flying a Bf110G night fighter. My relative is buried at Durnbach War Cemetery. I have placed Tino's decal sheet on my wish list so I can build his plane some time as well as the Lancaster. Catch Ya, Logan

What's that in the background? Looks like a propeller blade, or just a shovel or something? 😄
