Rosebud 1962 kit in its original box. The parts were complete in the sealed bag. The decals were missing but will be easy to replace as they only consist of the loco numbers and a BR Crest.
Main body under construction. The kit moulding is remarkably good with very little flash and the sprue remnants are small as I have a pair of very good (and very expensive) sprue cutters. There were just three small sink marks.
The photo shows just a little seam filling.
However, the two struts on the front were both broken and I have replaced them with new ones made of brass wire. It's a little bit thick but by the time they have been painted black I think they will be fine. I put an airbrushed coat of Vallejo black primer on before filling and will re-prime after sanding. The model will be painted in BR green and black.
I do like the results from airbrushing. Humbrol acrylic matt black (33) thinned 40% and Railmatch enamel BR green thinned 20%. The Railmatch is a nice paint.
