After I had finished the green colour and was about to start on the brown, I realised that the patches on the right wing, according to the instructions, didn't match the fuselage at all. I started to look at other people's work to see how they had done it and that's when I got a chill down my spine:
Trumpeter had marked the colors backwards.
So what is green should be brown and vice versa. 

I sanded off the faulty green paint, then sprayed the entire top of the P-40 with Tamiya XF-52 brown enamel, then applied a fade pattern of Mr. Hobby H44 pale brown paint using a sponge.

The contrast is too strong now, but there's still a layer to come 

 

The shark mouth line was not red, I painted it black 

The painting and weathering of the P-40B/C is nearing its finishing.
