Thanks a lot guys !
Right now I'm wondering a little about Vallejo's Still Water.
I did the second layer and it covered the ground perfectly. About 15 minutes later the "water level" had sunk. Under the diorama everything's dry. Wonder why the water has gone.

Hi Dirk
I "googled" a little and it seems that it would shrink sometimes up to 50%.
Its more for puddles and small water scenes.You have to put many layers it seems.
I used it for a few puddles and there where no shrinking problems.

Hi Markus, thanks a lot !
Fortunately I got me 2 bottles of this stuff 🙂
But to me it doesn't look like it's shrinking. I guess I have something used in the base that is soaking the stuff.
In the next step I will try do cover most of the surface either with white glue or some varnish. The problem is to reach the surface right beneath the APC.
I'll keep you up to date 🙂

Just added picture where you can see, why I guess that the stuff is running somewhere.
If it would shrink the surface should be still brown, but as you can see the bottom shines through.

You might want to wait until it is completely dry before adding anything. I am assuming it is a water-based product. Once COMPLETELY dry, use an enamel paint to seal whatever is soaking up the water product, make sure it is not a clear enamel, rather an opaque color (brown, green mixture). Once that is completely dry, layer some more of your "still water" on top of that.

@Dave - Thanks a lot !
About an hour ago I applied some more Still Water and until now it looks good so far. A little bit has gone, but most of the layer is still there.
Next Step will be : Waiting 🙂
On Saturday I'm going to my local Hobby Store to find some figures. I will take the Base with me, so it'll be better perfectly dry😉
Hm... Wonder what I could to tomorrow on my last day off from work ...

@Markus - No way ! I'd only identify those little,mean mistakes. Something like : "A little Flash forgotten here, some hair under the paint".... whoooo scary😉
@Aghis/SCM79 : Thanks a lot !

I'm still wondering why the Military Police is playing in the mud. They do not like to get their boots dirty.

@Dave - Jepp, you're right. Maybe I should explain a little:
As I started this build I was pretty annoyd ( and still am ) by the MRC/Academy UH-1C.
So I need something different, a quick shot.
Well, in fact the inital idea was to build something
- fast
- cheap
and put into water.
It's always hard to put a expensive model you worked on for months into water.
Next idea was that I wanted to play with paper plants by Fredericus Rex.
So the first kit in my stash to meet this things was the M706 in a Vietnam Diorama.
I thought about the option to order different Decals e.g. from Echolon, but I wanted to do a quick build and I didn't want to wait for the delivery.
So I know that it wasn't a common Job for the MP, but I can live with this little mistake.

Maybe some drunk MP took it for a joy ride and got it stuck in the mud!!!

😢 Maybe
Although I'm planing to put one oder 2 GIs in some sort of "fighting pose" next to the M706.
In the beginning there were no figures planned. But I'm quite satisfied how the Diorama looks so far, so I do a little "more" about it.
Maybe some VC hunting after an ambush on an escort mission ?
