Looks a bit strange to me to see a Russian jet with German markings. When I was still at German Bundeswehr, unthinkable.. 😉
However, you've done a great job on the MiG. And I like the way you display it. A clear 👍 , Philip!

Hi Philip,
my time at Bundeswehr was between 1980 and 1992. So from "Cold War" till "Opening of the Iron Curtain".

Nice work, Philip! How was the kit, I'm always looking for good MiG 21 kits in 72nd scale.

Thanks Bill, the kit is not the best there is but not that bad also, the fit is good and the details are fine, the cockpit needs some updates! You need another decal sheet for this one because the original are not fine enough.

Philip, what was your unit? I lived from 1979 until 1991 in Soest. My father was stationed in Soest.

If the MiG 21 I have on the bench at the moment turns out 50% as good as yours I'll be 100% happy.Excellent paintwork, and a base that's just right. What sort/make of plants did you use?

Thanks Harry and Dave! 😉
@John, thanks for the nice comment and stimulated words, the plants on the base are from Joe Fix, Joe Fix had several different plants, these plants just needed a little drybrush with a lighter color

Looks graet! The paintsheme is nice. It is in fact not that Dark Colour Sheme like all those boring Dark Brown/ Dark Green GDR shemes often seen.
Outstanding nice work..

Album info
Here is mine latest project, I have some old kits in my stash and a lot of decals I have spared from other projects, I wanted to do something with all these lost kits wich I intended to trow someday in the treschback, here is the first finished project!
I call it the reborn of a treschback kit 😉
