GAF Grumman Tiger
I'm actually using a Korean knock-off of the Hasegawa 1/72 Tiger. Not too awful bad, just some odd molding imperfections here & there. Picked it up for very cheap anyway. BTW, unless one uses BOILING water, the decals are NOT coming off that paper!!
Tried to paint a German flag on the pilot's coveralls. Didn't come out a well as I had hoped. I don't have a photo but when I when to put a couple of fishing weights in the nose, I put one too far forward and had to un-glue it and move it back.
I still have to make two more Sidewinder launch rails. This Tiger will have some teeth - 8 AIM-9's plus it's four 20mm cannon! 😉
I'm using an old sheet from an Italeri F-104G Starfighter, along with the kit and some aftermarket decals.

You are correct but at the time I was not certain I could find decals for a Marineflieger version! 🙂 That is right Burkhard. General Wernher Panitzki himself, years later, wrote that he very much regretted giving in to the political pressure from above - stemming from the massive bribes Lockheed had given Messerschmitt-Fokker-Fiat.

Later it could have been replaced in German service by the F-20 then. The program was reportedly offered wholesale to the German industry at one point in time. A what-if on my project list, next to the X-29 in German markings 🙂
BTW, very nice F-104S in your Gallery over on IMPS/USA 👍👍👍
