Sure, Germen. This is actually for a groupbuild on reddit, but there's no reason it can't be part of yours either

Looks great Bryce, those seats are fantastic. I am still waiting for mine to arrive in the mail from UK. Our little group build is highly casual (and quite accidental), so you are already in it just by building a Revell Strike Eagle on Scalemates. LOL

Thanks, Michael. I just took a look at yours and it seems to be in a really good place. I built the Revell Mudhen a long time ago but it's still a pretty good kit and one that goes together quite well. What paints are you going to be using to finish it?

Thanks Bryce! This is my first attempt at this kit, and first F-15 in general (15th model total). I agree, it really does go together nicely, I am sure I will build another some day. I am using Gunze H305 Gunship Gray. I am trying to go a bit darker on mine, since pics of the Alaskan F-15Es tend to show them to be pretty dark and less faded than some other squadrons.

Eh, it might be a little bit, Germen, but once everything is in, it'll dull down a little bit and won't be hit with so much light. The correct color is Neutral Gray, or Haze Gray in navy terms. I used RAF Medium Gray which was close enough for my liking.

This is absolutely the best 15E in 1/48 scale out there. I've built one and I have another to build once I find some cool decals aftermarket.

I agree, Donald. I've heard good things about the newish Academy kit but I still prefer this one. And there are a lot of good AM sets for it. I have the Astra Decals set for all the Lakenheath jets, that I'm using for this build, but Twobobs also has a few good ones, like the TMOTA set that Germen shared.

That one is the one I did.
Germen, yes! One of the guys in my IPMS chapter did that one. If I cant find anything else interesting, I am tempted to do that one.

Heh, I thought you were having some problems there, Donald. I wish adding links in comments here was a bit easier than it is.

i'am thinking azbout bying those decals also, i like it that they have hidden a She-Devil and the Playboy bunny in the tiger stripes. But on the other side than i have 3 Mountainhome Tigers, the one i'm building with the 9/11 rememberence, the previous Revell kit the 1998 tigermeet, and then this 2005. And i would also use the Acadmey kit. I saw it at friend of mine and it looks very good also.

i got scared when i saw the right wing leading edge thinking something happened to the model, than i realized it was intentional and relieved. 🙂

Coming along nicely. I've never seen the E with light panels before interesting.

They were some replacement panels from, I'm guessing, a C model. I've seen more recent photos of the same jet and they've been repainted to match the rest of it.

There is a pic out there of an E with an air brake from a C. Looks rather interesting.

It must be the aircraft version of Panzer Primer. Anyway the colour variation looks nice and adds interest. 👍

I think I have that photo, Donald, or at least a photo of a mudhen with a C speed brake. Pretty sure the photo is a jet from Mountain Home, Idaho.
And thanks, guys. Hoping to finish her up by the weekend.
