I finally made the cover of FineScale Modeler with an article that they bought from me a year ago. I was hoping to be the main photo, but in the end my Corsair is in the top right corner. Sure is nice to make a bit of money from my hobby once in a while.

nice, but i would have a added some light color panel wash to make it a bit more interesting 😉

Usually I do use washes and weather models, but this one was built as a "simple out of the box" magazine article for FineScale Modeler. (I did use a wash on the landing gear and prop hub) It should be published late summer or fall. The nose decal was in four pieces, and I used Mr. Mark Setter and Mr. Mark Softer to place them. Those decals were 35 years old when I built the model. I couldn't believe how well they worked!

Congratulations on the article Norm. My digital copy of the FSM just landed, so I read the article with interest.

A nice simple out of the box build of a 1981 kit that I got for a dollar at a flea market. Even the decals were in perfect shape, which was quite a surprise.
