Do you use primer?
I use UMP primer and have no problem at all.
Pherhaps dry a bit slower

Ola @ following your advice I bought a couple of Vallejo metallic paints and I must say I'm very i pressed ,,, very vood stuff ... I'm using it in a Honda RA 272
