Internal elements in process of build
Primed panzer grey before a layer of varnish and then the hairspray
rear doors after final layer of desert yellow and then weathering rub with wet brush
internal view of half track before "lid" attached
Internal view looking to rear with doors glued in closed position
initial coat of grey and hair spray followed by main coat of desert sand
on top of desert sand a paler version of the colour for blending
Started on the weathering - wet toothbrush to brush away the top sand layer to reveal the grey
need to add the rest of the decals to depict desert hanomag
May have overdone the weathering on the front a tadge
ready for washes of various colours

Andy CoddThanks all, will be posting some pics soon - finished the streaking and adding final touches. Have learned a few lessons along the way that I will share.

Tamiya version of the Sd.Kfz 251/1. Not an accurate depiction of the half track so not going to use it as a display model but am going to use it to practice various weathering techniques that I have not used before such as the use of hairspray etc
