Bernhard SchrockI looked at the contents of the box for several minutes to understand why there are so many parts.
First, the box contains parts for one tailrotor with 5 and AND one tailrotor with 6 blades. This covers all variants. 🙂
In addition, Jam-Screw offers the model builder the choice between a „fast“ path and a universal path to build his tailrotor.
The quick way means that the entire rotor is assembled from 6 or 7 parts: the complete rotorhead (including the pitchlinks!!!!) and 5 or 6 blades.
The universal way looks like each blade can be mounted in any position. This means that the blades can have a negative or a positive pitch
All blades can also be swivelled in the parking position. In the second case, there are 22 or 26 parts that a rotor consists of. The „rasterization“ is hardly visible to the naked eye and I suspect that after painting it is not perceptible. Great great great!

Bernhard SchrockI hold the part in my hand and almost don't want to believe what I see there. A masterpiece of 3D design and shape design. Constructing and printing is one thing, but designing the part in such a way that you can get it free without damage is an art! This feat is very successful in Jam-Screw. After a few minutes, the part got free without damage.

Bernhard SchrockToday I took a second look at the parts and am even more enthusiastic. On the rear wheel suspension leg, even the eyelet for lashing is shown at the back. At most 0.2 mm thick... The wheels are bulging not only flat at the bottom. Big difference to the „only flattened".

Bernhard SchrockThe winch were also included in the package yesterday. Anyone who wants to build a german MK 41 can’t avoid this part. Here, too, the quality is excellent: even the cylindrical part on the housing is precisely reproduced (probably a kind of electrically hydraulic component). Actually, it’s „too bad“ to install the part: then you can no longer see that even the drum with the wire/rope is shown on the inside. Highly recommended.

Bernhard SchrockToday the package arrive and I just unpacked the part... I'm thrilled! The depth of detailing is fantastic. Each screw is on right place even the 4 wing nuts on the maintenance panel at the top! Microscopically small and a challenge not to break them off during assembly and painting. Highly recommend! 🙂🙂🙂 thx Jam-Screw for this magnificent part.

Bernhard SchrockJust finished the detailing of the KIT part and I can notice that Jam-Screw done excellent research. The 3D printed radome is exactly matching the original. Even the different type of fasteners/closures is represented correctly. Highly recommend. 🙂🙂

Bernhard SchrockJust yesterday I got a box with the parts as samples via FT (thanks Andy & Félix🙂!). Everything looks very promising: the wheels are realistically bulged and the rear rotor (with 5 or 6 blades, optional) looks fantastic, especially the pitchlinks / articulation. Many years ago I learned a lot from a friend about colours and photography. He explained to me that snow white and deep black are „out of place" on models. In the following years I have had the experience that high gloss painted small models of aircraft look especially like toys.
So this time too it was my intention to paint the model of the Caudron only semi gloss.
Apart from that, I think that very shiny color in natura loses shininess very quickly when exposed to the weather.
