Full throttle man! Can't wait to see what wonders you can do with this old kit!

So some updates here finally! Been quietly working on the cockpit and fuselage assembly, and I now have the BB cockpit painted and inside the fuselage halves. The fit of the cockpit is ok, had some issues with the side panels and had to sand quite a bit from the tubs to get it to fit, but eventually I was able to get it in.
Will finish getting the rest of the assembly done and move to the priming stage. Next up will be the intakes. I had to purchase another kit (Hasegawa F-16CJ) to get the wide mouth intake. I tried to see if I could use the extra Tamiya one I had, but there was just going to be too much work to make it work so I took the easy way out. I can make the new kit a narrow mouth F-16 at some point down the road, so I won't be wasting the rest of that kit.

Cool cool cool!
Do you think the Aires Pit will fit better than the Black Box one? Yours looks cool a lot of nice details...
I'm building the MLU of the Belgian Airforce and using the Aires one so I'm not sure which one looks cooler😉!
Anyhow nice build so far 👍!

Thanks Stephan and Konrad!
Konrad, usually, Aires means great detail and a pain in the butt to install. However, on my Tamiya F-16C Blizzard Aggressor I built awhile back, I used an Aires cockpit on that build. And actually, the fit was quite good and much better than I encountered with the Black Box cockpit. So I would say go with the Aires!

Thanks Daniel, Jos, Patrick, Holger, Erik, and Clifford! I appreciate the kind words and glad to have you aboard!
A little progress to report... Got 'er mostly assembled, still need to finish the intake and I should be ready to prime soon. Then the fun starts!

Thanks Stephan and Clifford!
Got some more assembly done and primed. I see a few areas that need some more attention, but nothing major. Getting close to the fun part, camo time!

Great smooth surface for the camo, are you planned to sand it first prior to the camo?

Thanks Jos and Dale!
Jos, I will go over it with very fine steel wool to smooth out any small imperfections, but not until I clean up some seams still present and re-prime those areas.

Got the first two camo colors down. I masked the hard edges of black against gray, but where the white will go I did freehand, and will use a mask to make the hard edges of white to black and white to gray, and will clean up any overspray after.

Thanks Daniel, Hans, Laurent, Stephan, Clifford, Tim, Jos, Nathan, Patrick, and Maciej!
The white is actually a very light gray as Hans mentioned, and the paint is MRP so it is really easy to work with.
Anyway, I got the main decals on tonight. Will do the underside and stencils tomorrow. Moving right along!

The Michael Philips touch in progress 👍 I´ve been gone for some time due to work & family topic overload, was very much looking forward to this - not disappointed & happy I´ll watch the finale live again!

Thank you Konrad, Stephan, Jos, Laurent, James, Clifford, and Slavo!!! I know this is a very delayed response, but I have basically not touched the model for the entire month of December and half of November. Just very busy with the holidays and then lost the mojo...
But I am back now, and have applied the wash and flat coat. So not all that much left to do to finish this one up!

Only now, when looking more detailed, that I see you left the intake lip until after painting. Isn't there a seam to fill and clean up???

Just beautiful! Clean and crisp! 👍 Is there a reason you did not (yet) paint/decal the walk-lines?
