It took about 3 years to finish. The kit itself had a horribly shaped nose (it was at least 3 mm shorter), had problems with the paintjob, with the diorama concept, with the home made decals, with the protecting plexi box... But here it is, as a christmas gift for my father, who used to fly with gliders, and Eight-Delta-India was his call signal 🙂

Great looking Jantar, Attila. My father had a Jantar Standard when I was younger, my oldest brother flew the Cessna 182 towplane and I ran the wing.

Looking at this as I just bought the same kit. Cracking open the box my scepticism because of the low price was confirmed, as the kit will need some attention to bring it to a reasonable standard. So I can appreciate your result even more. The homemade decals give it a very personal and special stance. I particularly like the base which has a very convincing ground work. Well done.

Michael: The nose is totally out of shape. The rest is not so bad, it needs some care: filler, sanding, scribing... 🙂
Konrad: Waiting for rope and pilot, ready for takeoff! 🙂
