A BETTER PITOT TUBE

When you stretch sprue, the end where you heat it has a tapered part, like the top item.

The kit part is simply a round piece, not at all like the real thing. I made the bottom item, then added a fine piece of sprue to the end.

The finished product on the model.

Thanks for the tip! Yes, heat-stretching sprue for delicate details is something all modelers should be familar with. You can actually make pipes and struts, much thinner than what can be done by molding.

iMPROVING ON A KIT PART
The instructions in the KoPro kit are vague is some areas, and the pitot tube is not even mentioned. The one on the sprues is really not good enough for me, so I made my own.
