Italeri F-16D Brakeet

In this kit, the avionics hump is a separate part. The seams are ugly but should be workable with some superglue and careful sanding. 

The vertical stabilizer is butt-joined to the fuselage. This will require some reinforcement for strength and proper positioning and alignment. 

I wanted to use 1.3mm rod for the reinforcement but that proved to be too large. Opted for 1mm instead and drilled some smaller holes. 

Vertical stabilizer with 1mm Evergreen rod, ready for install. 

Lower fuselage half had some warp that needed to be be corrected. 

Exhaust nozzle is severely out-of-round. This will require some work. 

Kit has several surface detail molding issues. 

More inconsistent surface detail. 

This kit is a tail-sitter. Added some weight and alignment tabs to the nose.
