Cheers @Patrick I used a bit of each of these - AK-042 European earth and AK-081 Dark earth pigments and sort of fixed with Fresh mud enamel colour also by AK interactive 👍

Oh damn..... I see you primed it before the black mottling, so it's strange that paint peeled off that way.

Cheers next trying time will be the decals, I've coated them in microscale industries liquid decal film, as when I tested the decals it broke up in the water!

I'm now calling this little piece done. It was an enjoyable out of the bag kit, although I should have done a little more research on the placement of markings as the instructions were quite vague but now I know for my future 1/48 kits 🙂
