I wonder if there will be a time in which they can stamp out curved metal shapes, maybe kept together with tiny bolts. 🙂

Superb! I bought 2 of these and one of the FLD120 and got frustrated and ended up trashing them. May I ask what tools you used while building this fantastic looking metal earth FLB?

Hi Jarrett,
What tools???? - I have so many, it's a bit of an illness........LOL
1. a pair of fine-tipped cutting pliers - make that 2 pairs - 1 being pressed metal, the other being cast metal
2. a couple of pairs of FLAT sturdy fine-nosed bending plyers - look at burfitt.com.au in Australia
3. If you need to roll anything, you'll need cylinders - on the cheap, knitting needles!! improvise!
4. The fancy bending "bugs" you can pay many $$s for aren't really practical when working on 3D subjects like these MetalEarth kits - I just use the pliers, and I have 10-15 that I cycle through
5. keep SuperGlue (CA) handy, remembering that you only have ONE chance at bending this stuff the right way!!!
6. Read the Instructions, especially so that you know how the piece you're bending will show down the line, and which surface will be seen.
7. Have a look at my club's website - www.essmc.org.au - Model by Modeller - Roger Trewenack - to see all of the examples I've built.
8. email me if you want/need more information - roger@trewenack.me - I have prepared tool-training docs for my club, and I can ferret those out if needed..
9. it's all for fun!!!
