The interior of the carrier is great. The figures are fantastic, I have no idea how you can do that in 1:72!

Thank you Ben 🙂

The drivers compartment is enclosed and the driver in place and I just made a first setting with the painted figures. Well, I think it will come together nicely.

Slow progress, the differential gear is in place and ready for some paint before the rear plate can be added. I scratch build a new rack and eyelets and a rail that can be seen on photos.

Finished today, an Universal Carrier of the Mine Recovery and Disposal Squad, 1st Polish Corps, towing a German mine at the beach of Tayport Scotland in November 1941. The scene is based on an original photo. The Universal Carrier is IBG Models with some modifications, the figures are Germania-Figuren. All scale 1/72.

I really like project and result.
Allow me a suggestion nevertheless. Base and groundwork have a similar appearance and might benefit from some contrast. A grey varnish of the base could serve the double purpose of achieving this contrast and creating an optical connection to the background.

As it is it is a very well done scene with a lot of atmosphere.

Thank you MIchael for your kind comment, I much appreciate it🙂

About the contrast in between base and groundwork; these melting effect in between the base and groundwork was exactly the result I want. The contrast you mentioned is in between the model and the background. But thank you for your insight and the hint 👍

It was a long journey but well worth the time. You have exactly hit the picture with your dio. Too sad I cannot be in Lingen this year, because I bet one can see it live there. Like all the other amazing stuff, you and your crew produce. Keep up your proffessional work. It is always pure joy watching your output. 👍 👍 👍

@Robert, according to the caption under the original photo - here a link toe the photo on IWM - yes. But note also the PL on the Carriers fender 😉

The Dio may look simple, but it's well-balanced and interesting to look at.
Nice topic, well implemented and fits the template like a glove!

@Mike, the figures are made on demand by Germania-Figuren.
