Spitfire Mk. I from Airfix. France, May 1940. I wanted a low-stress build while I was working on a 1:350 model of the USS Johnston--I always find ship models a little stressful. I built this straight out of the box. It took me almost no time and was very rewarding.

Thank you, Neuling. I've looked at some of your projects--superb, they fooled me for a moment into thinking they were photographs of the real thing. My skills aren't even close to yours! So thank you very much for your kind comments.

An ongoing project of mine, inspired first by my love of the story of this battle and second by recently reading James Holland's book on it.
