F-47 PA AIR NATIONAL GUARD 1947

New project up today. This is the late model F-47 which was a late P-47D-40. Many P-47 after the war were used as new USAF, Air National Guard units F-47's in the late 40's. For this project I used the Academy's P-47D bubble top kit and up graded it to a late P-47D-40. It was simple to do, I just took a few parts from the Revell P-47-M kit and instilled it on the Academy kit. I did add some details to the cockpit and wheel wells. The decals came from the spare box and a very nice decal sheet from Warbird Decals. More photos up soon.

New photos up. Project is complete. This was a fun little F-47 ANG. I may do more PA ANG aircraft in the future.
