P-40 N
Early efforts trying to build and paint neatly.
Hand painted canopy, before I tried masking on later kits.
Tamiya tape used for the white on the leading edges of the wings. Much better than free-hand!
So, should I try to add some weathering?
Having now seen several really nice looking builds recently, I realised that 'pristine' is too bland.
So, I've tried adding some exhaust and cordite smoke smudges, and some other dirty staining.
A little more interesting....
Some chipping on the prop blades and leading edges, but not as convincing as other Mates' skillful work.
Hopefully a little more interesting than before.

Many thanks, Jennifer. I'm re-visiting my early models, with a fresh eye.

Congratulations on completing such a fine model with brush and enamels! Grate weathering! 👏🏆

Many thanks, Marcin. I'm using acrylics now for all new models, and for weathering older ones. Flat brushes for flat surfaces, and round for small details, and either paint type will give good results 👍
